Guest guest
I have a Burger King on my college campus and I went in there today for lunch and I thought, hum...lettuce, tomato, cheese and pickle on a whopper bun...yum! Then I saw the sign for the New Bk Veggie.Boy did I get looks ordering it but I was so happy to see it. I asked the lady if it were at all Burger Kings or just on our campus and she said that the regular ones had it before they did. I said, " Great, now I can take my daughter to Burger King!!! " The BK Veggie was a regular veggie burger with vegetables and grains with lettuce and tomato and a bun. I like soy burgers better but I'm just happy to be able to eat at a fast food restuarant that's thinking of vegetarian needs. I even overheard the manager remind her workers that they weren't suppose to serve the veggie with the 'meat spatula' and unlike McDonalds, it's grilled so that it's not saturated with meat oils and secretions!!! YEEHEWW!! I think my daughter and I will go out over the weekend to get us a Bk Veggie burger!!!

Guest guest
I've been reading about the BK veggie burger and there's a few things I thought some people might want to know. Although the patty itself is vegan, the burger is normally served with mayo (which can be left off), however, the bun apparently contains a small amount of dairy. (The info about the bun came from vegan.com, and they had people check and re-check to be sure.) Oh, and according to BK, they won't be grilling the patties on a separate grill. So if the idea of any stray beef drippings bothers anyone, you can request to have it microwaved. I'm not trying to rain on anybody's parade, I just thought some people would like to be aware. Guest guest
That's great news! What area are you in? We (Detroit area) don't have anything like that at McDonald's or BK. Guest guest
Erik Marcus has said that if anyone finds a BK that will not microwave the patty (and there have been several) then contact Vegan.com and he will report it to BK management. Here is the link to the article that speaks about it. http://www.erikmarcus.com/pages/article.php?id=842 , Maria Rasmussen <amigosaqui> wrote: > > I've been reading about the BK veggie burger and there's a few things I thought some people might want to know.
