Guest guest
While that Christain post seemed a bit off, I just want to say that there have been some great recipes posted here as of late... Can't wait to try a few of them... If anyone has a recipe for a killer vegan key lime pie please let me know. I made one a month ago and it really lacked a certain texture and taste of what I remember the " real deal " tasting like. Guest guest
They aren't advertising it as Vegetarian, just as a healthy alternative. That's because the mayo has eggs, and the bun has butter. So as long as this doesn't bother you then this is a new great thing. Too bad they didn't think of vegans . --- wrote: > Burger King Answers Vegetarians > Desires with Bk Veggie!!! > > I have a Burger King on my college campus and I > went in there today > for lunch and I thought, hum...lettuce, > tomato, cheese and pickle on a > whopper bun...yum! Guest guest
If you're anti-all-things-egg this won't work, but you can get wooden or papier mache eggs at your local craft store for fairly cheap and paint them with acrylics. And glitter! Can't go wrong with glitter. It's probably too late to order anything from them, but check out http://www.orientaltrading.com and take a look at their easter crafts (look in the Holiday section, then Easter, then Crafts) for some cute ideas like paper-bag puppets and paper flowers and such. --- wrote: Message: 5 Wed, 20 Mar 2002 11:36:22 -0800 (PST) Thomas Hansen <tckhansen Easter activities Does anyone have any alternative ideas to painting eggs for Easter activities. My daughter loves to paint and I don't want to deny her the opportunity to be creative but don't want to include eggs in that creativity since we don't eat them!! We already bake cookies. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks. Movies - coverage of the 74th Academy Awards® http://movies./

Too bad they didn't think of vegans . > I read an article about this written by a vegan activist. He said that there is a trace amount of dairy in the bun and you can get it without the mayo. He made a very good point and that is that no vegan can be 100% pure and that it is very important that vegans and vegetarians really support this. He said that we are making an important step in vegetarian awareness by BK coming out with a veggie burger. He thinks that it is important to make it a success so that it doesn't go away and have people thinking that our needs don't matter. If we make it a success, then McDonald's and Wendy's may follow suit and it can make vegetarianism more mainstream, we will tell these companies that our needs matter and that they need to market to us. I am vegan, but I agree with what he has said if this is a success it will be a major step in the right direction for us. According to his article, Peta is also backing the BK veggie burger and is encouraging people to get out there and order it. Sara
