Guest guest
I bought some of those semi-disposable (I re-use) plastic containers that are sectioned into 3 or more sections. Then I pack my own items to make " lunchables " for my children. You can do several days' worth at once. They are fairly easy and much more economical, and reusing the packaging is better for the environment. Plus the kids think they are " cool. " Some examples of what I include are: quartered Foney Baloney or other deli slices, Tofutti slices, low-sodium triscuits or other crackers, grapes, raisins, soy yogurt, soy pudding, orange slices, canned fruit, hummus, pita triangles, baby carrots, celery sticks, vegan ranch, cucumber slices, broccoli florets, tortillas, peanut or other nut butters, nuts, whole-grain cookies, etc.
Guest guest
Good ideal. I pretty much do the same thing for dd's lunch, except she still flocks to the Lunchable aisle and begs for them every time. I guess Yves knew that kids did that, that's why they created it. My daughter wants brand name things once in awhile.
Guest guest
We have reusable comtainers, but I can't find bologna like in the lunchables!!! If I could, I'd never buy one again, since she likes it SO much more than the regular kind! She doesn't eat the cheese or the apple bar, so it really IS quite a waste, but it's a spcial treat. Guest guest
My dd couldn't care less about name brands, but she adores the little circles of bologna instead of quartered slices. Toddlers! LOL!
