Guest guest
BEFORE I got pregnant, I also had those symptoms in early 1999 - particularly, heart palpitations and weight loss for no apparent reason. I sometimes would have periods of sweating at night and first thing in the morning, fatigue - I felt like a truck had run over me no matter how much sleep I had. My doctor suspected thyroid problems but all the test turned up negative. My symptoms grew worse and worse. I went from doctor to doctor to find out what was wrong, but no one knew why I was experiencing those symptoms. In desperation, I went to a Wellness Center that uses nutrition, exercise, water therapy, sunshine, temperance, fresh air, rest, and trust in God to " heal " people and I learned after spending 10 days there that my health problems were due to my incorrect handling of stress buildup. (My husband was in a terrible car accident and was in the hospital for 10 days in 1997; in 1998 my mother had to be hospitalized for 17 days and my husband had to have surgery related to his accident; in 1999 my mother became ill again and I wasn't taking care of ME throughout all of this.) After learning how to handle my stresses and practicing the natural laws of health, I began to feel better in late 1999 and miraculously became pregnant (after 10 years of marriage) in January 2000 with our first child. - " ~*~*~Stacy~*~*~ " <daverictor Friday, April 05, 2002 10:41 AM Doh > Doh ~ I can't believe what you said the symptoms were of a thyroid > problem.....I have every one of those symptoms and have asked the doc to > check my thyroid and hormones but they said it wasn't that.....no other > explaination just not that.....what other symptoms do you have if I may ask? > STacy > > > > > Another thing to consider is your > >thyroid. Guest guest
Just a word of advice from someone who is trying to get some local health " care " reform going... If you want a test done then insist on your doctor doing it or contact the lab yourself. Sometimes it is cheaper to go to the lab directly. Get a second opinion...do what you have to do. Don't let your doctor blow off any ideas you have about your own health. My mom was misdiagnosed with a galbladder problem when she had cancer. She asked the doctor about cancer and he blew her off and did galbladder surgery. She never left the hospital and was dead in exactly one month. I'm not saying she wouldn't have died from cancer anyway, but she probably would have lived longer, not spent her last month in the hospital, and she would have been able to walk (due to problems with the surgery she could not). You are responsible for you own health and noone cares about your health or know more about your body than you.
