I get on a website for raw food-etarians. I am lacto-ovo, but am trying to eat

my veggies raw. But, there were several people on this board saying that soy is

not healthy and not meant for us to eat. I am getting conflicting info here. On

one side, it's great, best thing ever. The other, avoid it. Which side is

right???

It depends on who you ask!!!!

Really though, I have heard both sides as well and I really have no

idea. I think that soy definately has aspects to it that are healthy

but I try to use it in moderation because it is possible that some of

the bad things that they say about it could to some extent be true.

I dont think my blood is going to start aglutinizing as I have heard

from some sources but I'm sure it is not the " wonder " food that some

make it out to be. Thats my slightly informed but not professional

opinion anyways.

Everything in moderation.

It is tough to find any facts when there is money

involved. I just listen to my body and eat a wide

variety of foods. I don't think non-GMO soy is

unhealthy, but anything when eaten too often could

cause some health problem. It does bother me that soy

is in *everything* these days. I don't think it

should be used as a 'filler' anymore than whey should

be used to dump access from the dairy industry.

If it will put your mind at ease...check out the PCRM

website they have wonderful links to soy positive

research.
