LOL! I have seen veggie bologna slices somewhere before but I can't remember who they were made by..hmmmmm As for the little circles... I can possibly solve that one for you.. maybe even top it if your toddler is like my two year old ds.. and my five year old dd..... Two words... COOKIE CUTTERS... My kids absolutely LOVE when I cut their food into shapes with cookie cutters. We do this with veggie cheeses, sandwitches of all types, Homemade crackers ( before baking of course) , Veggie burgers, chunks/slices of tofu, Sticky rice, you name it, if a cookie cutter can get through it or the food can be pressed into it, they'll try it. They just like the novelty of all sorts of shapes.. and believe me we have a ton of them!!! And they like the frames this makes too! My kids sometimes even specify what shape they want before choosing what kind of food they want..this is how much they love them..LOL If I'm not in the mood for cutters I usually let them choose what size and shape they want their sandwitches : two rectangles cut in half vertically OR horizonally), little squares ( cut both vertically AND horizonally) , Big triangles ( cut diagonally), little triangles (cut on both diagonals, like an x), Or a great big rectangle or square depending on the original shape of the slice ( uncut), circles or half circles, also called o's or boats ( bagels), ovals and half ovals (rye bread). ****If you make your own bread...or want to try to..try this: Get a bread tube pan in different shapes ( I personally have the heart and the flower from Pampered chef but I've seen circles, squares, and others as well. ( I'm looking for a star right now as that's ds's favorite shape.) Fill it aproximately half to two thirds full ( you may need to experiment as doughs rise differently) add the lid, and bake it. Presto! Instant shaped slices. I have a breadmaker so I easily make the dough, but frozen bread dough can be used also. One more cool thing I did once and have been begged profusely ever since to do again ....and I will eventually... is that for my dd's birthday I added food coloring to the liquid when making the dough for fun colored bread ( trust me I learned from experience that it is much easier to add color at the start than to mix it into the dough... and you can check it periodically while mixing to add more color if needed). I even used two different colors together millifori (sp)style for different colored centers and edges ( great for my flower and heart pans)... or just randomly add chunks multiple colors in one pan....this is a fun surprise as you will get many different looking slices in each loaf.If you partially mix them together you can make marbled bread too. My daughter and I agreed when I did these for her birthday party that they were like princess sandwiches. And all of the guests thought they were awsome and couldn't believe I made it myself. Now who says you shouldn't play with your food?!!! Tax Center - online filing with TurboTax http://taxes./

I understand how to do it, but I simply can not deal with the amount of waste from the remainder of the slice, and I don't uaually eat the bologna. > And > they like the frames this makes too! Hmmm. I never thought of that. I guess she might like the " doughnut " it left behind. Sandra
