Guest guest
Does anyone juice or eat primarily raw foods or a combination of either one with cooked foods? I get on a website now which is for juicers and raw foodist. But, I am confused about something. In juicing, they separate the plant fiber from the juice and they throw away the fiber. In raw foods, they eat it. Another method is one they don't agree with completely which is Blending in which it grates the entire fruit/vegetable and turns it into a juice. I like blending and eating mostly all my veggies raw for the vitamins and nutrients. If you clean off the vegies, esp. if you're using organic veggies without a wax coating on it, why would you not included the vitamins and fiber?? I have made several juices- I blended orange juice with two chopped carrots. Grate it in the blender, and added bananas and strawberries. Delicious just like V8-Splash!!! Another one was water with carrots grated into a juice in the blender with apples and bananas-it was a delicious smoothie. I have had several soy milk smoothies with fresh fruit and I feel energized doing it. I am not a 100% raw foodist or juicer but am using it in combo with a lacto-ovo veggie diet. Any comments from anyone on juicing or raw food???
