Guest guest
Everyone, please take the time to email the food channel, please. As many of you know, it's laden with meat in almost every single show. Apparently, they dropped a Vegetarian show they used to have in favor of meat-obsessed ones. I happen to love the Food Channel, but I get sick to my stomach viewing show after show with meat. One another site I belong to we are sending email to them asking for another Vegetarian show. So, if you would like to see this, send an email and pass the word along to any of the vegetarian groups/sites you know of to email them as well. www.foodchannel.com. Scroll down to questions and click on that. Then scroll down to submit comments and answer the questions. Thanks.

Guest guest
Thanks for posting this. I, too, would like to see more vegetarian shows on the Food Channel. There used to be a show with Curtis Aikens that was vegetarian but once he had a guest on his show that prepared a dish with either meat or seafood in it. He appeared put off by this, and I think it was unexpected for him, but he politely commented that his show was normally vegetarian, although he let her continue cooking. If you look at the ads on this show, they are all heavily meat and dairy industry ads. The meat and dairy industry basically fund the Food Channel through their advertising. Have you also noticed how fat everyone gets when their shows have been on for a few years (Emeril, Bobby Flay and Ming Tsai have all gotten chunkier since their shows debuted). This is no concidence, nor just the inevitable weight gain as you get older. If they aren't fat, their shows don't sell because their food can't be all that good, right? Remember, " pork fat rules " . What happened to Debbie Fields' show? Was she too skinny? And why was Curtis Aikins cancelled? Was he too vegetarian? Some shows still have some good vegetarian and vegan recipes, but not enough and not in any way that takes it seriously. What they really need is more advertising support from vegetarian businesses to balance out the messages from the meat and dairy interests. I will send them an e-mail - good idea.
