And it's use is so common (even with " healthy " companies like Tofutti, Silk). Same with Sodium Laureth/Lauryl Sulfates, still in many " healthy " beauty supplies but very controversial ( " but it comes from coconuts! " they defend).... But I think eventually it'll be kinda like MSG - once it started spreading that it was nasty stuff, companies had to change their recipes, their boxes, the promotional materials....
