Chewables vs. sublingual B12?

We are vegans and I definitely want to stay on the safe side of this. My

children take a chewable every day which contains 6 mcg B12. Since they are

chewing it, do you think they are absorbing more than just in regular tablet

form? I'm just not looking forward to bugging them about one more thing

(taking a sublingual B12). But from reading the articles in

veganoutreach.org, it does sound like they would only have to take it a

couple of times per week.

My 7 year-old daughter is compliant and goes along with things, however my

11 year-old son will have to be convinced and decide on his own that this is

a good thing since I already have to convince him to take his chewables

every day. I guess I should print out the article and give it to him!

Such fun being a parent, eh?
