Guest guest
Joelle J. Hendrick (JJHendrick) is the School Lunch Program coordinator for the Triangle Vegetarian Society in North Carolina (www.TriangeVegSociety.org). What other resources do we have for professional dietitians and nutritions, vegetarian parents, and other concerned expert parties who can help us get our healthy school lunch program going in Boston? I think that the promise of vegetarian meal options in the public schools would inspire lots of vegetarian teens and preteens to get on board. I'd also suspect that vegetarian-oriented food businesses would have vested interests in seeing this kind of effort move forward, as would produce growers, distributors, and publicists, and the grain, legume, and processed plant-foods industries.
