Guest guest
Hi all. Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Alicia, mama to Victoria (4) and Annalee (2). I've been vegan for almost a year, partly because of health conditions but mainly for ethical reasons. Once I researched vegetarianism and found out the conditions that dairy cattle and such were kept in, I couldn't morally keep eating dairy either so it was a big change when I switched. I had been cutting down on milk and such for several years after reading the " Discovery magazine " article on dangers of dairy and researching the results of the Harvard nurse study, but it was still hard to quit completely. I have a harder time living without cheese, cream and butter than meat. My family is not vegetarian, but since I do the majority of the cooking they mostly eat vegan too. It's been challenging to cook vegan meals that a toddler and preschooler will like, but it's actually been a lot easier than finding meals my very traditional (foodwise-- in nothing else!) husband likes.
