Guest guest
Clare, I adopted two children 4years old and 7 years old who ate meat 3 meals a day. I told them how I feel about killing animals so people can eat them! We told them that as a family, we would not eat meat. Our extended families would be most likely eating meat, but we would politely say no thank you if asked. The 4 year old boy who is now 8, had no problem with that and tells all his friends he is vegetarian and proud of it. The 7 year old girl, had a lot more questions, and I think even ate pepperoni pizza at a friends house pretty early on, has come a long way though, and now will absolutely refuse anything with meat. I know this isn't much of an answer, but I hope it helps. > " clare12341234 " <clare1234 > resistant 5 year old > > When my husband and I went veggie just under a year ago, we decided > that while we'd encourage our 5 year old not to eat meat, we wouldn't > insist on it. Guest guest
Karen - RE: Significant Others -- Right now, the organization that is responsible for public school lunches is considering having soy milk as an alternative to dairy milk. I am sorry I forget the name of the org. Perhaps by the time your child is school age, the will have it in the school cafeterias. Good luck, my kids drink soy milk all the time.
