Guest guest
Thanks to everyone for answering my questions about Chuck E. Cheese. We decided to give it a try, and I was really surprised at how nice the place was! I'm not sure what I was expecting. LOL Anyway, the vegan pizza was pretty good. The vegetables were still a bit crunchy. Of course, my dd had only 2 bites because she was more interested in playing games. At one point, my dh was taking my dd around, and I was at the table alone. The manager happened to walk by, and he said, " Oh, so *you're* the cheeseless pizza. " We started talking, and he said he'd been a vegetarian for 1 week but went back to eating meat because he missed hot chicken wings too much. We spoke for quite some time, and I gave him suggestions--like I told him there are some vegetarian wings in the frozen food case. I also told him that whatever steps he made toward vegetarianism, however small, would be beneficial to his health. He thanked me for my suggestions and said he looked forward to seeing us again. Always trying to spread the word! Sheri Mommy to Heather Joy 9/28/
Guest guest
Patricia, That's good to know - thanks for the info on their atmosphere. I just might take my son there for some 'rainy day' activity. =) I haven't been there since they first opened (!) when I was a kid for a birthday party, so it's nice to know they've expanded their menu a bit. lol Patricia Bullington-McGuire <patricia O ...I did want to point out that Chuck E. Cheese is not actually as bad as the name would imply...people go there just to play the games....the pizza crusts and sauce are vegan and the pizzas can be ordered with veggie toppings and no cheese. The one is my area also has a decent salad bar. I wouldn't try planning a vegan birthday party there, but I have taken my son to his cousins' parties at Chuck E. Cheese and felt quite comfortable with the experience. ========================================================== " diana rhodes " <dianarhodes I was just wondering why you don't like Chuck E Cheese's? Hi Diana. Well, first off, I wish the darn mouse had a different name! lol Maybe Chuck E Soycheeze ;P I could only remember lousy pizza and strange, life-size puppets playing music onstage in a chaotic environment from a party I went to a long time ago. It just doesn't give me the 'warm, fuzzy feeling' when I think of bringing my son there. ;D I don't have anything 'major' against the place and I'm glad to hear they have some vegan options for food, but it's not a place I'd encourage my son to go to if he hadn't seen the commercials.. (how's that for a run-on sentence?! lol) take care, ~gv
