Guest guest
> Can anyone recommend a soy margarine spread? Thanks. Karen, We use Earth Balance. No trans- fatty acids or hydrogenated oils. We have also used spectrum spreads. They tend to be a little more liquidy. Hope that helps. Peace, LAura
Guest guest
Spectrum Spread is non-hydroginated and vegan. Guest guest
I use Earth Balance which is really good and not hydrogenated, but very much like regular margarine (it melts great). Now I just wish they'd use a recyclable container. In our area we only recycle 1s and 2s (curbside!) and I think the container is a 5. I just keep saving them in my tupperware drawer . Anybody know what to do with all those 5s, besides throwing them away? Guest guest
As for the containers, contact the company that makes it and ask if you can send them back the containers. I eat a lot of WholeSoy yogurt and they said I could send the empty containers back to them. Also, even though some towns collect all plastics, many of them throw much of it away - my town only collects 1 and 3. , " Tracy Childs " <tracychilds@c...> wrote: > I use Earth Balance which is really good and not hydrogenated, but very much > like regular margarine (it melts great). Guest guest
We have one here called Soy Garden which comes in a tub and I really enjoy -- you'd practically never know it wasn't actually butter. Guest guest
Im not a big fan of soy margarine but I did find a vegan margerine that is not soy based. I forget the name. But if you are interested I can check at home and let you know what it is. Rachael , Karen Detling <kdetling@c...> wrote: > Can anyone recommend a soy margarine spread? Guest guest
Depending on the size, you could use them to hold things like crayons, pins, buttons, spare change... Or if your kids are old enough to paint, you could use them for water to rinse the brushes. I bet there are also a variety of crafts that you could use them to make. You could also use them to plant windowsill herbs in. Hope this helps.
