Guest guest
If this were the Healthy School Lunch Program in downtown Boston, and you have 30 gangly teens all interested in (fill in the blanks), and were TREATING them for an afternoon, what would it be (low cost, lots of fun is most important, educational is sadly secondary), what would these 5 be? So far I have lots of requests to publish a list, and that list now includes: 1) In the summer or fall, trips to farms that let you pick fruit or vegetables. 2) Supermarket tours, to find the vegetarian items. 3) Watch veg*n videos 4) pasta and salad parties 5) go out with friends to try a different veg eatery 6) home gathering with kitchen testing vegetarian recipes 7) volunteer at a farm sanctuary8) volunteer at the Boston Vegetarian Food Festival 9) for any veg-friendly non-profit at local event/fest The problem is, if you're running a school or a volunteer program for vegetarian teens, volunteering elsewhere isn't an option we can run into the ground.
