Guest guest
Hi, My name is Maria and I just joined. I have a son who is eight years old. I have been a vegetarian for about 10 years, I am 41. My son Brandon has been raised vegetarian since he was a baby, but lately he is eating tuna sandwiches at school. I try to make him good lunches, homemade soup, pasta salads, tofurky and lettuce with mustard rolled up, He eats all these items at home and usually asks for second helpings and even thirds. I know that it is because of the peer pressure at school. He is the only vegetarian in his class and probably the whole school for all we know. Would somebody please tell me if they have had this problem what they did about it? Any feedback at all would be really helpful!! I shop at my local food co-op and surrounding ones also. I also shop at the local health food store. If Brandon could meet other kids who are vegetarian also then he would be less apt to feel as " alone " as he does. Thank you, Maria
