Guest guest
My name is Bret Arenson and I have been invited my Chris Mitchell to participate in the Kundalini Systems email list. I am going to try to make a succinct telling of some of my experiences over the past few years. This is not an easy task, but I hope that enough of you, because of your own experiences, will be able to see the fuller picture without the addition of so much detail. Two and a half years ago I discovered in me an ability to draw in an automatic fashion. This way of drawing, though, came as seizure of sorts that caused my entire body to gyrate. Needless this to say, this discovery put me in compelling yet unfamiliar territory. I could not but begin to practice this amazing but bewildering behavior which began a very intense period, replete with very unusual experiences and noticeable alterations in my perception. I have continued this way of picture making. I have spent many hours trying to focus on and further the movement that comes and in contemplating the images that result. I have always seen a certain depth, movement and presence in these images, but have recently been able to view in them a very dramatic 3D effect that brings a very strong sense of presence. This has always been something I have had to invest in myself to perceive. I now think of these images guides to contemplation, as organic mandalas. Over the past six months I have also practiced this behavior in a free form dance class as I wanted to see if I could access it away from the drawing board. It has opened up well in this environment. In a couple of cases when some brave folk ventured to keep a constant touch on me I felt an internal exertion so great it was like every one of my cells vibrating on their own. I have also been regularly having rapturous experiences of different sorts, though not obviously in direct response to the practice. Fortunately they have been less frequent, though sometimes still as intense, as in the " early days. " I have tried to not contextualize this experience too much. I have wanted it to inform me on what it is. However it hasn't been too verbal, so I have just tried to hold it lightly, noting what comes. Very recently I read " The Kundalini Experience " by Lee Sannella, which was referenced in " Spiritual Emergency " , a loan from an understanding channeler. This was the first account I had encountered which correlated to my own experiences. Of course I knew about Kundalini, but only its folklore, not as specifically as is described in the book. Now I can agree that what I had and am having is a Kundalini Awakening. It is really something for me to accept this as I have resisted so many explanations which were never accurate enough to accept. But this is something I can say yes too.
