Guest guest
Hello, Thank you for your thoughtful response. I would like to say that it isn't using the Siddhis as a distraction. If anything it would be as an enhancement. All components of an awakening must be in resolution, ie the physical manifestations, the visions, the 360 degree vision etc, the feelings of complete love for all creation, kryas, changes in the metabolism, entities, Divinity, all of course, are part of the process. I'm more of an opinion that just as a child wonders and dreams about what type of an adult they will become, and by doing so begins the process of sculpting that adult. So too does the K person begin to create and form the Siddhic natures within themselves. As the person advances into the Kundalini these natures will begin expression. I feel that Sri Ramanas approach is great for those who follow him and I give blessings to him and them. I do not follow him. The restrictive nature of the early twentyth century Yogis i find very limiting especially in regards to the K. There is a fundamental divergence of thought about Siddhis or ascended skills as I like to put it privately, and their usage. The notion of the state of being in humanity as being miserable without Siddhis and even worse with is at best a generalization that in effect establishes a limit to what an individual with or without the K can explore before risking, as in that example, becoming more miserable. Or as an equation: limited power = misery expanded perceptions = more misery I dont buy this. Siddhis are not the goal. They are another rung on the ladder of development. This method of control, for whatever reason, could be seen as a way to keep people from evolving too fast for the contemporary Indian guru model of appropriateness from the culture of the time he made that statement (1935). Im feeling that this statement was not designed for those Kundalini active (imho). Remember he was a product of the 'caste system' where it is and has been frowned upon and not encouraged to reach beyond your " place " in society. It is by no means certain, but this could influence his thoughts and ideas about Siddhic exploration. Also once again, Im reasonably certain he wasn't making that statement with Kundalini Active people in mind. More to those folks of a pre-K nature. Seeking power for power over others instead of power over self. - blessings and endless vistas of opportunity to all - c
