Guest guest
Hi Selena, Well, if they didn't like Your take on the New Age, they certainly won't like MINE...Ha! I entered the New Age culture back in the early 80's. I now consider myself as one who entered, and spit myself out the other end.....if one can be a " recovering Catholic " (as per Caroline Myss), then I am a recovering New Ager. For the record, having lived in the bible-belt, I can tell you without hesitation, that there is No difference between a fanatical southern baptist and a fanatical new ager....the gleam in the eye is the same, and so is the resistance to new knowledge and information. I became severely disillusioned during that time, when I was witness to new agers stepping over homeless people and drunks with an insensitive and arrogant " that's His/her karma.....life path...etc. etc " never even considering that the person in question might have been put their for Them and Their learning....like, maybe a lesson in compassion, perhaps. AND....I was in a new age bookstore in.....heck, I can't even remember where now, but a man wearing a robe, with an enterage in tow, entered the bookstore and at one point noticed me. He said, " I know you, or I knew you in a past lifetime " . I said, " no, I dont' believe so " . He said, " oh, you just don't remember....but it's True " . I just looked at him, and one of his little disciples came over and said, " you must feel really blessed that he even noticed you " . Again...Renee was not impressed, because Renee is well aware of what it feels like to meet someone from past lifetimes, and she had never met this man on any plane. I'm still not impressed, or feeling " blessed " over it. I have noticed the trends over that time period, as well. I had begun channeling in the 80's....only to receive guidance that it would take too much of my energy, and I was instead supposed to throw myself into raising my children, who were infants and toddler at the time. At that point in time, you were not " really " channeling anyone, unless they were from ancient times. A decade later, your channeled material was not any good unless you were channeling an Alien entity. When that got old, something else " new " had to come thru. I have followed Crimson Circle, Kryon, and Abraham Hicks, to name a few. I've gotten into some terrible squabbles, and even thrown off message boards by arguing with A-Hicks believers that we create 100% of our reality. I myself, have seen strong evidence of Sacred Contracts, and Divine Purpose......but I'm not getting off on that rant right now. The gurus that I continue to return to are Dyer, Zukav, Myss, CWG/Walsh. And, within the time that I have been following their teachings, as they have morphed over time....I find that each of them begins to put out material that is the same message. Right now, the message for the masses is to learn to forgive, and to love. As I follow the teachings that are coming out of these people, and pull back to more impartial observer standpoint, I see clearly that they are moving us, those of us who pay attention...en masse towards some sort of ascension....in preparation, I believe, for some sort of mass calamity. I believe that the groups of people experiencing the K rising are a part of that. The children being born since the 80's....at first they were labeled Indigos, but are now referred to as both Indigo and Crystal, depending on whether they are tech-gifted, or artistically gifted....are being born that way for a purpose. In my own children...I was in the 4-Corners area of Colorado for exactly two years, within the sacred energy of the Sleeping Ute, which is an energy that is unique in the country.....and I gave birth to three children, who I believe carry that energy. Who are all, in spite of being male, able to utilize both sides of their brain at the same time. The children who are born Indigos and Crystals are a step up in humanity. My sons are gifted artistically, as well as left-brained scholastically, and at a level that has not been seen in their ancestry to this point. This generation of children may very well save the world, in some fashion. And, yes, Sel, I agree, everyone wants a quick fix...including me. It's an ego driven desire to not have to endure anything painful, and to " get it " fast. That's a bit hard to overcome some days. It's even harder for me on the days when I'm mad because I can't figure out how come Eckert Tolle, Byron Katie, David R. Hawkins....to name a few, had sudden awakenings, and....as much as I study what happened to them, I can't seem to get it to happen for ME....sounds stupid, but hey, what makes Them so special that they can become spiritual and overcome ego OverNite??! Guest guest
Wow Renee, you have been through your share of New Age stuff, have you? ;-) Sounds like the more you get hung on those folks, the less you can accomplish for yourself. I'd say, drop the gurus, relax, and don't stress over your quest. Spiritual transformation seems to happen at its own pace, rather than ours. From what I understand, a key to it is to be inward- rather than outward-oriented, and to surrender to the beauty and the harmony of the All that is inside us. Funny that I talk about surrender--it certainly didn't come easy to me at all--right Chris? :-) Hope I don't sound too much like one of those big-mouthed gurus...
