Magenta

Hello-

 

Quite often when I send an email to he then asks me to make a

post to the list about what I wrote. Does he do this to you?

 

So here it is:

 

A few weeks ago on three occasions over a period of a couple of days I

noticed a magenta patch of light out of the corner of my eye that I

instinctively turned to see but it would disappear when I turned. Then

recently while meditating I noticed a surge of this very bright color

in my eye view. It has also come into my mental view. There is no

personage or presence associated with the color, but when I reflect on

it it causes my eyes to really roll up and the meditation can be very

dramatic.

 

The feeling of the color is sometimes very rarified, some kind of mist

which encompasses a non space. I have thought of this particular color

before for use in the cosmological series of my artwork as representing

the ether, so the feeling of it is similar to a conception of how the

color might be used.

 

Somehow I think that viewing the color like this is like a street sign

to a certain kind of perception. Contemplating this somewhat tangible

impression might lead me to a way of experiencing that is new and

unfamiliar to me that is some how connected to the impression.

 

In the past I have had other strong and significant notions that I try

to follow. Often these notions are either very ephemeral or my focus on

them is easily altered or corrupted and they soon no longer lead me. I

do not know that this won't happen with this either and may have

already, so fluid are these experiences. The connection of the symbol

to the signified is very fragile.

 

However, perhaps the lesson Blue gave me in going deep to regain the

experience may be applied here. There is a specific approach that works

and requires some volition, but not too much as to disturb the flow of

grace. The interaction of volition and grace is big in my personal

philosophy these days.

 

I must add that it seems that there is something really abstract in my

awakening. Others get personalities and communications. I get colors.
