Guest guest
I have been giving much thought to this notion dismemberment. I have gone so far as to ask for it along with help, guidance, and support. Is there anything else I should know? Is there anything I shoud do? It sounds like it should happen spontaneously, but when will I know, and when will it be done? Am I put back together? Sort of re-configured? Re-Organ-Eyes(ed)? I'm a little frightened of the prospect. This way of being is somwhat familiar. This reminds me of my favorite movie The Wizard of OZ. The scarecrow is pulled apart by the flying monkeys and exclaims, " They took my legs and they threw them over there. Then they took my arms and they threw them over there... " The lion and the tinman put him back together. Yesterday I laid in some tall grass that had turned to straw and asked for guidance about dismemberment. I said I was ready to surrender. The wicked witch of the west wrote in the sky, Surrender Dorothy. Tara tara_tuttare <tara_tuttare wrote: Perhaps would post the message I sent to him personally. Would you? This subject has been on my mind continually for the last few days. I have been looking up information on the internet and in books I have to help prepare me. I have given much thought to where I would go to allow this to take place in safety and privacy. Thank you Barbara for sharing your experience. It makes it more real and less frightening for me. Nothing is happening out of the ordinary for me at the moment, other than I have been dreaming alot about riding bicycles, ha ha. Brett, you are probably closer to this than I am right now. They are knocking on your door! Go in courage brother. I want to share a passage I got from a book on Taditional Symbols by J.C. Cooper: Dismemberment: The death and rebirth symbolism of initiation; the necessity of the death of the self before reintegration and rebirth; the two complementary phases of disentegration and reintegration. It also represents unity giving way to fragmentation, multiplicity and disintegration of creation, the many rising out of the One. Dismemberment is closely connected with sacrifice. Gods, such as Osiris, Zagreus, Dionysos, dismembered and scattered and reintegrated, represent the mulitplicity of the manifest world in creation and the final restoration of primordial unity. Mystic dismemberment can be a feature of the initiation of a Shaman. But we already knew this didn't we? El Collie wrote about it in her website as an inevitable part of the kundalini journey. May we all face our own initiation with bravery and trust. Tara
