Guest guest
My two cents: In yoga meditation, you don't try to control the mind as much as you let stray, negative, and/or obsessive thoughts simply roll away like water on a non-porous surface. All you do is to look at the thoughts popping to your mind, then you ask yourself if they are useful, productive, and constructive--and if they aren't you let go of them. If you fight them, it'll become virtually impossible to let go. The attempt to repress thoughts forms attachment and additional negative and obsessive thought patterns.
