Guest guest
Phil.....I got the biggest belly laugh out of your " when you stop lurking.... " comment. Thanks for the gut buster. Coloring books....now you could use Debra Wasserman's book " I like animals and brocolli " (or I like brocolli and animals...not sure which) as a coloring book. It is a workbook specifically focusing on vegetarianism. Can be found at vrg, I believe and amazon.com Also, I'd like to comment that one of the benefits of involving oneself in the vegetarian community is that you find all faiths, cultures, belief systems, and categories are represented. Not all of us are tree-hugging gay Wiccas....not that there's anything wrong with that (stolen from Jerry Seinfeld....sorry lol). I'm blessed to know Hindu, Jewish, Christian (Catholic and protestant), Wicca, athiest, agnostic, Straight, Gay, health nut, tree hugger, republican, democrat, independent, green party, working class, middle class, upper middle class, working poor, married, single, co-habitating, multi-degreed, no degree, single degree, etc.ect.ect. vegetarians and vegans. We have many styles and attitudes just like any other population. I love our diversity even if it means dealing with some internal conflict. As is common with any stereotype, sweeping generalizations of any population simply require one instance to prove it wrong. Absolutes don't work with living beings.
