Guest guest
I had to have the radioactive iodine treatment for my thyroid because it was hyperactive. (The radioactive iodine shrinks the thyroid gland). I had to stay away from my son for a few days because the iodine can be excreted through the skin and they don't want others to come in contact with it. We had various relatives come over to help and tried to make some fun out of it. Sorry I don't really have any good advice. It will be hard, but you're doing what needs to be done. I've heard that thyroid cancer has a very high cure rate. Good luck and keep us updated. > Message: 1 > Wed, 13 Nov 2002 21:10:59 -0600 > <lay > thyroid cancer question > > I just received a diagnosis of thyroid cancer yesterday (I am otherwise a > very healthy 27 year old).
