Does anyone have info on > this? It's not that they make the charts. They are based on formula-fed babies. These " old " charts (which are still in use) were developed based on a small sample of white, middle-class, formula-fed babies from Ohio! New charts have been developed based on BF babies, but they aren't commonly found in dr's offices. I think WHO designed it. I'll try to find a weblink for it. But most importantly, I'd just echo what everyone else is saying. And I'd add that I never took my ds to the pediatrician because I don't think they see babies as individuals. They look at numbers and charts and worry based on that - or don't worry despite indications of problems! So, take the dr's advice with some skepticism, that's my advice! ;-) ~Doh
