If you're vegetarian and you have a career like this -- from supporting the President, CXO, or Executive Committee, or occasionally filing a memo for your department or unit (or if you had such a position in the past and have an interest in the folks who do this, enjoy this, or complain about this, whether or not you have real INSIGHT to share - as LONG AS you have ISSUES or ideas about such work), you're welcome to join the " Vegetarian Admins " e-mail list at http://Groups..comVegetarianAdmins/ Here's the eGroup's write-up ( " mission statement " ): Vegetarians who work in administrative, clerical, secretarial, and support positions have many issues to sort, not only those of their employer, but also ethical and strategic issues related to that employment. This list will help vegetarian admins network and figure out how to be better admins and effective vegetarians in the workplace, and to plot their courses in life to optimize their personal realization. As we understand both what we are doing and who we are, realizing that the optimal administration of the world will ultimately require vegetarianism for all, we can center ourselves beyond either our workplace alone or our whims alone. We will ask all list newcomers (those who have joined VegetarianAdmins recently) to introduce themselves, giving other listmembers (a) some personal information about themselves (name, location, their experience with vegetarianism, and more), (b) their career vision, © a little information about their own career path and how they found their way into administrative work, (d) their near-term and long-term hopes for the future, and (e) at least one anecdote or helpful comment about their experience being vegetarian in the workplace at an administrative level.
