May I assume from this that congratulations are in order? 8-) Or websites? I > know there are not many out on the market, but wld be interested to hear > personal reviews, or simply your opinions. I liked Rose Elliott's Vegetarian Mother and Baby Book - I still make stuff from there. She starts with pregnancy, and carries on with recipes that you can modify to share with a baby. Aside from food, how would a vegetarian pregnancy book be different from any other? I found the most interesting parts of pregnancy to have nothing to do with food! Be well, Hadass in Winnipeg, Ima to Rafi, 6.75 y/o, Ari, 3.5 y/o, and Shira, one day shy of 6 weeks old already, yikes.
Guest guest
Pregnancy Children and the Vegan Diet by Michael Klaper was pretty much read daily during my last pregnancy. I highly recommend it! Trin
Guest guest
I was very dissapointed in his information on breastfeeding. I decided not to buy the book because I felt that if he didn't research breastfeeding enough to get that section correct, the rest couldn't really be trusted, either. I'm afraid I can't tell you what parts were wrong, though, because I didn't buy it. Guest guest
Janis- You might try " Pregnancy, Children and the Vegan Diet " by Michael Klaper, M.D. Admittedly, I haven't read it but it comes recommended on the short list of " must reads " on vegsource.com ~Marvelyn > do you have a fav veg*n pregnancy book to recommend > Janis
Guest guest
I do have the book, but I agree with the breastfeeding issues. Actually, I have found few veg books that do get the breastfeeding section 'right'. Linda --- Sandra Mort <sandra.mort wrote: > I was very dissapointed in his information on > breastfeeding. Guest guest
Actually, I have found few veg books that do get the breastfeeding section 'right'. Besides the books put out by LLL, I haven't found really any books that get breastfeeding right! It is very sad! Sara
Guest guest
The problem is that if they're not willing to do research to make sure one section is right, why should I believe the rest is right?
