Guest guest
Welcome Robin, You will find many great recipes here. I'm new to this list too, but love it. I'm also new to a more healthy lifestyle. I'm not a vegetarian, but do eat mostly vegetarian meals. I'm moving in that direction, but with a husband and children that are used to meat, I have a long road ahead of me. It is hard to come up with variety when just starting out. This list has helped me tremendously and I'm sure it will help you as well. Glad to meet you. Blessings, Karla B.

Guest guest
Thank you everyone for your replies regarding multi-vits for children. It sure makes me re-think the rel'ship betw multi-vits and health and/or diet. Yes, indeed, one has to do what's good for our health n everything else is secondary!! Thank you also, thus far, for recommendations of books re veg*n pregnancy. I'm 7 weeks along, but hesitant of making any announcements till past 12 weeks! Doh, I'm vegetarian, I eat eggs n some dairy, but very small amts. I'm looking for nutritional info, as well as recipes. I am not sure if this topic ever came up on this list, but has anyoe talked abt meat cravings while preggie? I know this came up on a board I was on n preggies talking abt how they caved in, feeling it's the body's message that the baby needs meat, and they end up devouring meat! I ask becoz yesterday I saw an advert with shrimps and I feel like eating them, yikes!! Cheers, Janis Janis Tan MK Every object, Every being, Is a jar full of delight. Be a Connoisseur. Guest guest
I am not even pregnant and I occassionally get cravings for meat!! Of course changing my life for the better does not mean that I forget that I love the taste of food that I will not ever eat again - I just find other foods that I love just as much. But, back to the pregnancy thing - craving something does not mean that your baby needs it. I have heard of women craving crazy things like glue or even things that were actually poisonous for them to eat. So, be strong, your baby wont suffer for it.
