This list is for ethnically Scandinavian vegetarians, whether they live in the

Scandinavian nations and regions (Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark), or

elsewhere in Europe, North America, or anywhere else.

 

Topics of discussion on THIS list may include vegetarianism in the Scandinavian

nations or among vegetarians descended from the Scandinavian or Nordic peoples

(Icelandic, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, Danish).

 

This list will discuss the lives, practices, beliefs, events, and values of

these truly Scandinavian vegetarians, truly Scandinavian people who truly ARE

vegetarians.

 

This list could be useful for vegetarians of Scandinavian descent who are

traveling to the Scandinavian regions, or who are searching to find themselves

as both vegetarians and persons of Scandinavian descent.

 

This list is NOT for commercial postings unrelated to this particular and

relatively narrow subset of discussion topics.

 

Topics of interest might include vegetarian practices, organizations, events,

and organizing in these nations and among or by these peoples. Though the

language of the list is English, peoples speaking these languages primarily are

invited to join us, and translating useful vegetarian resources into the Nordic

languages is strongly encouraged, particularly for use by the International

FWIW, Finland is not a Scandinavian country, despite the fact that there

are many people of Scandinavian descent living there. It can be

included in the list of the others if you refer to " Nordic citizens " .
