How about those Fantastics (and other brands) cup of soups, veggies, rices,

pastas, etc.? They're very good - I guess they would take up some space, but

they're very lightweight - you just add boiling water. I think those same

companies make them in pouches, too; those would take up less space. I've

gotten them at Kroger and Wild Oats.

Trader Joe's also sells packets of Indian food that just need to be heated

in water, then eaten. They are very good and most are vegan. They are also

inexpensive and come in thin packaging. Good luck!
