I am a 50 yr old grandma......vegan 4 years! Never turning back. My first

food....3 days old, MEAT. My dad was in the Army and my mom was young and

very naive. So they fed me meat, no fruits,no vegetables, no cereals, meat

and whatever the formula was way back then.

My belief is I am a government experiment, a trial and error baby. They had

the opportunity to track my growth for years til 23... My mom said the

babies in the nursery were all given different diets to follow. Think about

it, a perfect control group.

I haven't had any adverse effects, I have been healthy my entire life. In 20

years I have missed only one day of work.

It was my choice to become first vegetarian when I thought I could make

healthier living a part of my life. After I started reading materials like

Erik Marcus " New Ethics for Eating " and " Fast Food Nation " by Erik Schlosser

it was no return.......VEGAN for life. Who ever said we needed to consume

FLESH anyway? There are more than enough other products floating around out

there to do away with leather as well.

And why would you give your child DAIRY, no other species feeds their young

milk from another species. Some one in this group said it " YOU can get

whatever you need from other sources " You do not need animal products in

your diet.

Anyone aware of how much calcium there is in Oatstraw tea........ one cup

250 mg. Thats a cup of herbal tea! The sources are out there, do your

homework and share your results.

!!

Just needed to input

Pamela
