Guest guest
Anyone have some ideas for children's vegetarian vitamins? My son is 2 and becoming a lot more picky with his eating. Right now I'm giving him the sesame St. with extra vitamin C, but I don't think that's enough. Also, where I can find them? I get my veggie sups at the supermarket, but I haven't seen anything for the kiddies. Guest guest
You can try the liquid vitamins called Liqui-Lea from Shaklee. You can access it here - http://www.shaklee.net/ewing-tracy (it is my site) They also have a chewable Vitamin C. My 3 kids love it. Best of luck, Tracy
Guest guest
We use SCHIFF Children's Chewable. They have a full day's worth of everything the child needs and are vegan. They have a yummy cherry taste (my kids BEG for them every morning!). Children under 4 take one and over 4 need two tablets. They come in cute little animals so the kids love to see what animal they get! We buy ours at Whole Foods and they have a website: www.schiffvitamins.com or call 1-800-526-6251 Peace, Lynne janeen minguillo [jminshan] Tuesday, February 11, 2003 12:57 PM Childrens' Veggie vitamins Anyone have some ideas for children's vegetarian vitamins? Guest guest
I get vitamins for my daughter at Trader Joes. They are called Fruit & Veggie Bears and they are 100% vegetarian. Any of your Natural Markets/Health Food stores will also carry veggie vites for children but they will probably be a lot more expensive than the one's I get at TJs. The natural markets will be listed in your phone book under markets, groceries, food stores, natural markets and/or heath food. Good luck. Guest guest
(This may be a repeat as is goofing up for me right now...) What I tried to reply to in my last post was that I give my son TWINLAB's Animal Friends. They are a vegetarian formula with extra calcium but they are not vegan as they contain honey. I find my vitamins (both adult and childrens) in either Heath Food stores or Whole Food Markets. Standard supermarkets around here do not carry good ones. As to the availablity of good children's vitamins - you should be able to find what you want as there are quite a few good ones on the market. Guest guest
I saw an add for vegan gummy bear vitamins in vegetarian baby and child magazine. they have a website called vegetarianbaby.com. I saw these vitamins at my Local Clarks (whole foods market/health food store) I can't remember the name of the vitamins but I hope this info helps and I am on line at a time where I can't serve the web due to not able to get a connection with a server:( good luck, from Kim who hasn't bothered with vitamins except an occasional vit C or acidophilus even though her kids didn't seem to be eating enough and enough variety, they amazingly stayed healthy and fine without supplements! They do eat alot of support nutritional yeast, they love the stuff and call it yum-yum. so that's where they get their b-12 mother to son tazz, 12-10-98 daughter bellana 8-13-01 In a message dated 2/12/2003 6:10:17 AM Pacific Standard Time, jminshan writes: << Subj: Childrens' Veggie vitamins 2/12/2003 6:10:17 AM Pacific Standard Time jminshan (janeen minguillo) Reply-to: Anyone have some ideas for children's vegetarian vitamins? Janeen, You'll most likely have to go to a health/natural food store, or shop online, to find vegetarian vitamins. There are several kinds available, from chewables to liquids to veggie gummis.... Might take a few tries to find one your son likes, but it'll be worth it to avoid all the additives. I work at Whole Foods Market and we have several options for kid vits. ~Doh ------- " Whatever you do, it is most important that you do it.
