Guest guest Posted February 14, 2003 Report Share Posted February 14, 2003 Hey, I forgot to say that there isn't much in the way of spices here in Mongolia, but there IS fresh dill and cilantro available. Also, salt, pepper, cinnamon, fresh ginger, green onions, curry, vegetable bouillion (not a spice, really), and that's about it. Oh, and soy sauce and sesame oil, thank goodness! The book will be for ex-patriates living in apartments as well as Mongolians living in yurts, so I will need a combination of recipes for modern kitchens and traditional wood stoves. Most everyone has refrigeration, and if not, it's 0 or below for about 8 months of the year! Should have included this info...
