Guest guest
So, my pediatrician told me that it is more important that my 18 mos. old daughter eat yogurt than drink breastmilk. I'm taking this as a sign that she's not Dr. Right. I'm now hunting for: Pediatrician- breastfeeding advocate, knowledgeable about alternatives to medication, familiar with vaccination controversies, understands vegetarian and vegan diets Family Dr.- knowledgeable about alternatives to medication, understands vegetarian and vegan diets OBGYN- doesn't concentrate much on test results, noninterventive, biased toward natural birthing or receptive to my own bias toward natural birthing Hospital- a hospital that serves more than grilled cheese to vegetarians (adventist?) Dentist- family dentist- friendly, likes kids ANybody have any suggestions? Platinum - Watch CBS' NCAA March Madness, live on your desktop! Guest guest
I have suggestions to fill most of your needs except the hospital. I'm in Silver Spring, MD. Our pediatrician and family Dr. are the same person. She respects veg. diets and has many people in her practice that do not vaccinate including our family. She was a nutritionist before going to med. school and advertises her practice as holistic. She is very well versed in herbs, supplements and fairly knowledgable re:homeopathy. She is in Silver Spring. Dentist- Our dentist is also holistic, non mercury, very kid friendly, and also is the only dentist in this area that uses lasers, great hygenist too. He has a great nutrition background as well. Ob-gyn- I don't go to one, I use midwives instead. The hospital I can't help you with. Email me and I can give you all the details, name, address and phone #'. Peace, Laura
Guest guest
If you are in Los Angeles you can check out Dr. Jay Gordon. He is a extended breastfeeding supporter. He has a different approach to vacinations. Check his web site out they also have a good forum. drjaygordon.com.
