Guest guest
I am very proud of my little guy. =) It was so funny one time when we were grocery shopping and he was going on and on about vegetarian food and other " junky stuff " - the looks from the other shoppers were hysterical. LOL He's been very good with handling situations where the " goodies " aren't veg. I try my hardest to always have special treats around that are very similar to what everyone else is enjoying so he doesn't get that " left out " feeling. For classroom events, birthday parties, play dates, I ask ahead what will be served and do what I can from there. I also pack extra treats so my son can share with his friends and everyone can enjoy them. My son also helps me pack things or picks out certain treats to bring along. So far, at his age (5 yrs old), it seems the kids would much rather be running around and playing together than sitting and eating cake and ice cream.. It's really been the parents up to this point that have made any fuss. ooh - my daughter's up from nap - my time's up! ;D take care, ~gv =============================== That is soooo wonderful! You must be so proud! My son is still a bit young and he doesn't yet get it that we eat differently. We are just now getting into the " No, we aren't going to buy that because it is junk food " phase. He seems to be ok with it. Sara
