Karyn-

Both my younger son (almost 4)and I have off and on problems with low iron.

My son's doctor here isn't a fan of vegetarianism but he doesn't say that

I HAVE to give him meat. The last time he had low iron we gave him iron

supplements.

It was still low so the doctor said to go through one more bottle and if

it didn't go up he would check for a blood disease. It went up. I guess what

I am trying to say is that even if it is low, supplements should do the trick,

and if they don't there is something else at hand other than your child's

diet.

Good luck with your doctor and your husband:-)
