Guest guest
Welcome to the group. You'll find great advice and recipes here. If your kids only prefer items similar to bean burritos you will have no problem finding meals that are veg for them. There are several ways to take a meal and make it veg. First start by looking in recipe files. You can start with three of my favorite www.vrg.org , www.vegweb.com , and www.vegsource.com . These are all family and kid friendly websites. I have a six yr old and 13 yr old. my 6yr old is not too partial to any ethnic food but asian while my 13 yr old loves hispanic foods. My husband and I like any thing that's spicy (i.e. Indian). Never fear you will find a few in your same situation. On these sites and here you will find people that will tell you how to adapt a recipe you already have to make it veg and extremely delicious. So if you have a favorite recipe post it and someone will be more than happy to help you convert it. ______________________ Message: 10 Tue, 22 Apr 2003 11:57:23 -0000 " progressive7862 " New member Hi everyone! I'm new here, also to being a vegetarian. Been thinking about it for several years, finally did it for the new year. My family has not joined me yet, I'm hoping to get some ideas on how to help them make the move. I live with a husband, 2 small children (4 and 6) and a mother-in-law. All are very fond of their meat and milk. Finding recipes that the kids like is quite a challenge. So far, they only like bean burrito type things. I often feel like an alien in my own home, so it will be a real pleasure to get to know some like-minded people! Peace, Laura ______________________ ______________________ The New Search - Faster.
