Interesting replies, Sel. It sounds like you're bothered most by

chaotic or conflicting energies in large groups. As for students --

ouch, I know this feeling -- we (teachers) may be thinking that we

can make them do better on the next test, whereas the truth is

that THEY are conditioning US to give them better grades next

time! (It's enough to make you want to do away with grading. I

always feel comfortable with my classes until the day after the

midterm) --- JE
