Guest guest
There are reasons it takes a certain amount of time for Kundalini development. It can be a very difficult process and take years and years to just come into peaceful terms with this force. One can be constantly exposed to heat that wont register mechanically. Or begin to see things of a joyous vision of beauty or terrible visions of nightmares. All at the same time. Constantly. With this in mind you can wonder how you would be able to justify your life inside these phenomena. How would you live and communicate and work? This is why a firm preparation is so important. This is why a patient and resolute attitude to learn and practice what is presented here on this list and in the instructions given. As they are not meant to be seen as trivial exercises in receiving a Shaktipat or enlightenment or the light shows, bliss, etc. How many of you can truly say that you have seen a ghost? How would you prepare for such an event? How do you prepare for the unknown? What I know of the Kundalini is that it will bring to the experiencer phenomena far outside the awareness they are accustomed to. The testing can be quite literally horrendous if you do not follow the pathways others have traveled. To do this one must begin to practice without regard to how long or what must be done. With patience and steadfast will and trust that what is being offered is indeed the path you wish to follow. Trust is hard to come by as it needs to be earned before most people give it. In this case you must jump into the flames first before you understand what is trustworthy. But by then well..... Please do not think that this is something you can do without regard to taking care to protect your sanity and your health and your way of life. This isn't fast food enlightenment. Do the practice. I know what has been happening to Therese. I had to walk that path because I knew no other. Seven attempts at suicide later I learned other ways. Pray, meditate, forgive, surrender, trust, love, being gracious. These are some of the tools that may save your life in Kundalini land. These are what a hammer or an automobile or a warm jacket are to us in the physical environment. Do what you must do in order to bring these tools into your daily life now, before the spinal sweep, before the fear testing, before your dark night of the soul. blessings and more to all of you - chrism
Guest guest
Dear Chrism, Your latest message is both reassuring and daunting at the same time. Reassuring in the sense of its profound implications and also in the sense that a gradual unfoldment is preferable so that we may be somewhat prepared to take it in stride. And given the tools of gratutude, forgiveness, surrender.... we may safely encounter this unfoldment. The terrifying aspect of all this is that, as you say, we must plunge ourselves into this experience without the benefit of the usual knowledge and forethought that accompanies most mundane experience. And that once we're in (final sweep), well.... we must ride this rollarcoaster to the end. So let me be clear. I desire to be more aware of this environment that we call Life. I want to find out who or what I am in the deepest sense. I hope to encounter a loving experience; one that brings me closer to SPIRIT. I am willing to face tests if they help me to grow into my soul. I'm most willing to follow the path that you deem the safest. I suspect that this is a stranger universe than I can imagine. But I'm trusting that it's also more loving than I can imagine. These are my hopes and dreams. Hope implies not being sure of the outcome but I also feel that nothing great is attainable without risk. At this point I feel somewhat like the infant that needs a parent's love and guidance. So, are you now my parent? (LOL) Is god/dess my parent? Jesus? Krishna? I will continue the practices and will strive to keep grounded and clear. This also entails an awareness of patterns of addiction and victimhood that I want to be free of. Will my surrender to the K help me in this process? I sincerely hope so. I proclaimed to you that this was 'the only thing'. That was because I feel there needs to be a complete revolution (within) in order for any change to be meaningful and real. Please forgive me (you as well as the group) for this rambling expression. Love, -steve f
