Guest guest
Hello Deb and Mike, Would you post here some of the material concerning your interest in the Quantum experience, that is on OOBE - if you are comfortable doing so. -
Guest guest
Hi Chris & all, Well, I won't try to lay out the basics of quantum theory here as I'll only make a hash of it. People who want to have a look at it can read Michael Talbot's Mysticism & the New Physics or Capra's The Tao of Physics. The best place to go is Goswami's Physics of the Soul because it gives a decent grounding and then builds on it very intelligently. It's also cheap now and so probably coming to the end of its availability! Go to: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1571743324/sr=8- 1/qid=1150639301/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-9571870-7894462?%5Fencoding=UTF8 (or in the UK http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1571743324/qid=1150639373/sr =8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl/202-6299805-7921447 ). The value of the quantum approach is twofold. Firstly I intuit that it is probably correct in its fundamental mechanics. But the second thing is much more important…. The BIG trouble with psychic stuff like AP, OBE, Kundalini, enlightenment etc is that most people just can't get a handle on it. This is because their subconscious has been conditioned in childhood to apply either a religious or a scientific belief-system system template to everything they come into contact with. The result is that when confronted with these things it comes across as all OOoooOooo mystical / new age / hocus-pocus nonsense or as possibly satanic. There's no shape to it that fits the universe their conditioning creates for them. The quantum approach provides a grounding for these things is known physics, albeit sometimes at the controversial leading edge of scientific thinking. The scientific minded can then feel on familiar enough ground that they can at least look at it, while the religious find that the physics based approach is something that at least doesn't go against their beliefs. There is also something intellectually satisfying about it, a feeling that says `Yes, I've experienced some of these things, and now I can also see something of how it the nuts & bolts of it work.' That has to be valuable because if we want these things to gain a wider acceptance they need to be stripped of their mystical / magical aura so that people can say `Oh yes, my son's into OBE, Kundalini and so on – there's a good basis in physics for it you know'. That allows people a path to segue from what they know into what they're finding out. Best wishes, Mike , chrism <> wrote: > > Hello Deb and Mike, > Would you post here some of the material concerning your interest in the Quantum experience, that is on OOBE - if you are comfortable doing so. - > > > >
