The Basil-Garlic Cashew Sour Cream is the one recommended for Tomato, Root Vegetable, and Wild Rice Soup. * Exported from MasterCook * Cashew Sour Cream Variations Recipe By :The Millenium Cookbook - Eric Tucker & John Westerdahl, M.P.H.,R.D., C.N.S. Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- Tarraon-Lemon Cashew Sour Cream - Add an additional 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice and 1/2 bunch fresh tarragon, stemmed. Cilantro-Mint Cashew Sour Cream - Add 1/2 bunch stemmed cilantro and 1/2 bunch stemmed mint and up to 1/2 cup water. Basil-Garlic Cashew Sour Cream - Delete the lemon juice and add 1/2 bunch stemmed basil and 1 clove garlic. Saffron-Garlic Cashew Sour Cream - Steep 1/4 teaspoon saffron threads in 3 tablespoons warm water. Add to main recipe ingredients alonw with 1 clove garlic. Chile Cashew Sour Cream - Add 2 teaspoons toasted mild chile powder or paprika, 1 teaspoon toasted ground cumin, and 2 tablespoons Millenium Braised Garlic along with additional water to thin. Horseradish Cashew Sour Cream - Add 2 teaspoons prepared white horseradish. Sesame and Wasabi Cashew Sour Cream - Delete 2 tablespoons cashewws and replace with 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds. Add up to 2 teaspoons wasabi paste and 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger, if desired, plus additional water to thin.
