APPLE CINNAMON RAISIN BREAD

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

--1 1/2 LB LOAF--

1 1/3 cups water

3 tablespoons vegetable o

1/4 cup molasses

1 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

2/3 cup whole wheat flour

2/3 cup oatmeal

2 2/3 cups bread flour

2 1/2 teaspoons yeast

3/4 cup apple -- diced

2/3 cup raisins

 

Bake according to manufacturer's instructions, adding the cashews during the

raisin bread cycle, or five minutes before the final kneading is finished.

 

Makes 12 thick slices.

 

NOTES: A very nice loaf with a wonderful, moist texture.

 

JENN'S LOWER FAT NOTE: Use 3 tbsp of unsweetened applesauce instead of the oil.
