Guest guest
* Exported from MasterCook * Parmesan Cheez 1 Recipe By :Abbot George Burke - Simply Heavenly! Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 cup sesame seeds 1/4 cup lemon juice 1 1/4 cups nutritional yeast 2 teaspoons garlic powder 1 tablespoon onion powder 3 tablespoons Schilling's Vegetable Supreme Seasoning This is somewhat like Parmesan cheese, but it adds a lot to a recipe where Parmesan cheese is needed. It is very strong in flavor, so be cautious in its use. Refrigerated, this keeps at least one month. Mix all together. Sprinkle on a cookie sheet. Cover with a piece of waxed paper. Roll out thin. Remove the waxed paper. Put in a 200F oven for 2 hours. Grind fine and store in a covered container in a cool place. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Per serving: 882 Calories (kcal); 72g Total Fat; (68% calories from fat); 27g Protein; 48g Carbohydrate; 0mg Cholesterol; 21mg Sodium Food Exchanges: 3 Grain(Starch); 2 1/2 Lean Meat; 0 Vegetable; 1/2 Fruit; 12 1/2 Fat; 0 Other Carbohydrates Nutr. Guest guest
Hey all... I'm curious if any of you has a good recipe for lasagne that does not use tomato sauce.( vegan or just vegeatarian is fine) I'm allergic to tomatoes.. I have a recipe for pesto- spinach lasagne... and I love it- but I'd like to have another to fall back on- plus I'm craving that kind with carrots and brocolli and vegetable broth... Anyone have a recipe like that? Even if it has chicken broth- we can just substitute veg broth...right? Ok .. someone send me a yummy one.. please!!! Guest guest
hi jamie - i have a good lasagna recipe but it's with a white sauce, not a broth type sauce ... fairly heavy on the dairy - i can send it if you'd like ... you say you're craving the broth kind - have you had this before? at a restaurant? i'm sure if you used noodles that are pre-cooked, you could wing it ... i'm also attaching a link to a canadian living recipe for squash and caramelized onion lasagna (also lots of milk, but i think you could fool around and omit a lot of it - i thought of this recipe b/c i remembered having seen it way back when - never tried it though - and i thought it might use a squash puree instead of a sauce - you could mix stock and some pureed squash to the consistency of a white sauce and just substitute cup for cup) http://www.canadianliving.com/features/food/inseason-squash/inseason-squash7.htm good luck!
