Guest guest Posted February 9, 2000 Report Share Posted February 9, 2000 I formatted some dairy substitutes from the book " Simply Heavenly " - it's written by a monk whose order is in Nebraska. * Exported from MasterCook * Cashew Milk Recipe By :Abbot George Burke - Simply Heavenly Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 cup raw cashew nuts 4 cups water 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 teaspoons Sucanat In a blender put the cashews and 1 cup of the water. Blend until smooth. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend foor 30 more seconds. Variation: for use in some " salty " dishes, use UnBeef Broth or UnChicken Broth instead of water and omit the Sucanat.
