Crock Pot Applesauce

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

3 pounds apples -- peeled, cored, and cut into chunks

1/4 cup water

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon sugar or honey

1 tablespoon firmly packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

 

Place apple chunks in Crock Pot. Add water and vanilla extract.

Sprinkle sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg over apples. Stir the

apples to evenly distribute the spices.

 

Cover and cook on low setting for 7 to 8 hours or overnight.

 

Stir the apples with a fork to desired consistency.

 

Serve warm or cold.
