Guest guest
Here are some of my freezer ideas: Make homemade broths and freeze them in portions. Homemade spaghetti sauce. When you make soups & stews that freeze well, double the recipe and freeze half. One of the best things I did when I was pregnant (many *many* years ago) was when I made dinner, I made sure to have just a little bit extra of everything. Then I froze individual " dinners " on divided plates and froze them. After the baby was born, we had lots of quick dinners & lunches already frozen -- no need to cook all the time. This, of course, you can do without being pregnant. Karen
Guest guest
A " good thing " from Martha Stewart... Freeze your stocks and broths in ice cube trays then put them in freezer bags. That way you can use just what you need at that time. It really is handy... t. ---------- > " Karen C. Guest guest
These is a great idea, too. I've always been a freezer -- or something like that! I have always frozen fresh herbs this way, and things like chopped celery with a measured 8oz of water. Easy to throw them into something. Here are two of my own freezer tips is surprising successful: 1) Always, Always freeze right away, when the dish is beautiful and appetizing. Don't wait until it's been sitting in the fridge for a week and everyone's picked the good stuff out of it! 2) LABEL THE DARNED THING!! Even if it's with tape and a piece of paper. Thanks for the good thoughts! Christine
