Guest guest Posted February 18, 2000 Report Share Posted February 18, 2000 Formatted and Posted by: Donni * Exported from MasterCook * Red Onion, Spinach, and Tomato with Horseradish Dressing Recipe By :The Fannie Farmer Cookbook * Marion Cunningham Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Salads Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 4 cups fresh spinach leaves -- washed, dried, trimmed of stems 4 tomatoes -- trimmed and sliced 1/4-inch thick 2 red onions -- sliced thin into rings Salt -- to taste 1/4 cup olive oil 1 1/2 tablespoons vinegar 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish Arrange a bed of spinach leaves on a platter. Place the slices of tomato over it, and the onion rings over the tomatoes. Sprinkle salt evenly over all. Combine the oil, vinegar, pepper, and horseradish in a small bowl and beat until blended.
