Guest guest Posted February 23, 2000 Report Share Posted February 23, 2000 * Exported from MasterCook * Spaghetti with Tahini Sauce Recipe By :Easy Vegan Cooking - Leah Leneman Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 pound whole wheat spaghetti 2 onions 3 tablespoons vegetable oil 4 tablespoons tahini 4 tablespoons tomato paste 1 1/2 to 2 cups water 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast freshly ground black pepper Cook the spaghetti. Meanwhile, chop the onions and fry them in the oil in a saucepan for a few minutes until lightly browned. Add the tahini and tomato paste and then the water (start with the smaller quantity and if the sauce is too thick, add the rest). Bring to a boil, stirring constantly until thickened. Stir in the nutritional yeast and add pepper to taste. Simmer, uncovered, for a few minutes.
