Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

-------- ------------ --------------------------------

1/2 cup bouillon -- about

1 onion -- chopped

1 red bell pepper -- chopped

1 jalapeno chili -- minced

1/4 pound mushrooms -- chopped

1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger root

1/2 teaspoon turmeric

4 cups cooked barley -- brown rice mix

3 tablespoons soy sauce -- or to taste

1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

Chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley -- for garnish

Bring the bouillon to a boil in a large pot. Add the onion, bell pepper,

breaking up the tofu a little so it has the consistency of scrambled eggs.

Serve garnished with parsley.
